Ireland, June 16 - 19, 2009

Following my meetings in Paris, I flew to Dublin where I was met by friends from the Teagasc office in Athenry, near Galway. We drove to Athenry where I checked into my room early the next morning. On Wednesday and Thursday I met with researchers at Teagasc about current and future research projects. On Thursday evening I went with friends to watch a mixed, tag rugby game in which they played. The weather was cool and rainy but it was fun to watch. On Friday morning I flew to Dublin and then to Oslo.

On June 13th I departed for Paris to attend meetings of sponsored by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The meetings we held at the OECD headquarters on the 15th and 16th. Paris is a wonderful place to be in June, even if only for a few days. I stayed at an interesting little hotel called the Nicolo. I then flew to Dublin late on the 16th.
