I drove down to Fayetteville with two colleagues, to attend the National Public Policy Education Conference. The meetings started Sunday evening with a reception. On Monday and Tuesday I attended the meetings, including a half-day tour to a local Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) research center, Tyson Foods world headquarters and a local poultry farm. On Wednesday we wrapped up the meetings and I was installed as chair of the NPPE Committee. No time for geocaching.

Urbana, Illinois, September 1 - 4
On Friday I drove up to Urbana for the long weekend. Sylvia flew into Champaign from Boise so we were able to visit Harly, Amy and Elise together. We had fun with Elise and did a few things around Urbana. I found a couple of geocaches on Sunday and then drove home on Monday. About half way between Columbia and Urbana there is a littel country store that has an interesting sign out front (see photo).
